An inventor creates a device capable of propelling him far into the future. When he arrives hundreds of thousands of years ahead, he finds Earth transformed into a strange new world inhabited by two evolved human species: the gentle, surface-dwelling Eloi and the lurking, subterranean Morlocks. As he explores this divided future, he uncovers the unsettling relationship between the two groups—and becomes trapped in a struggle to recover his machine before he’s stranded forever. His journey forces him to confront the long-term consequences of humanity’s choices and the ultimate fate of the world.
