William Le Queux

William Le Queux (1864–1927) was a prolific novelist and journalist whose writing career began with newspaper work in England. In 1893, he left journalism to concentrate on fiction, producing more than 200 books across mystery, detective fiction, espionage, and adventure. He became particularly popular for his sensational spy novels and invasion thrillers, including *The Great War in England in 1897* and *The Invasion of 1910*, which established his reputation as a leading writer of Edwardian suspense fiction.
