I love how Pride and Prejudice blends romance with sharp observations about society. Elizabeth Bennet feels so real to me — witty, independent, and unafraid to speak her mind. And Darcy? I didn’t think I’d like him at first, but the way his character grows completely won me over. For me, this isn’t just a love story; it’s about learning, changing, and seeing people beyond first impressions.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me; and I am in no humour at present to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men. (Mr. Darcy about Elizabeth, Ch. 3)
